Linlithgow 2015

Our Association hosted another successful exchange visit at Easter this year, with forty eight people from Guyancourt travelling to Linlithgow to stay with families over the Easter weekend.

On Saturday, the highlight of the day was a guided tour of the Kelpies.

Once inside the Kelpies, Neil MacDonald led a rousing rendition of his song “The Kelpies”.

Following lunch at the Queensferry Hotel in North Queensferry, the group visited the Contact and Education Centre for the Forth Replacement Crossing and were given a detailed talk about the background for building a new bridge and the economic benefits it was expected to bring to Central Scotland.

The day ended with dinner at the Academy followed by a ceilidh.

A final social gathering on Sunday evening brought everyone together for some supper and music.  This was a relaxed and informal event, led by singers and musicians from both towns.
